This scene is set within a typical working class Australian birthday celebration setting. Packs of Longbeach (or Lung Bleach as they are affectionately known) and Vodka Cruisers. Good times. Once again I’m moving the camera around to show a bit of these elements (can I call that exposition?) while thinking about balancing negative and positive shapes. This is not a traditional comic page layout (if such a thing exists) and rather born of necessity. An invention of layout that I think turned out pretty well. There are only so many talking heads you can draw before you start to crave some variety. I particularly like the final panel and find I enjoy a wee silhouette shot from time to time, with the bonus that these types of images are quicker to draw.
