Day one of my ten page a day goal is off to an uninspired start. Five pages, though pretty good, is only half the target. As usual (of late) I’ve made a time-lapse of the process, crunching three hours into three minutes. What’s new in this thrilling instalment?

  • Inclusion of an editor’s note at the bottom of the first page to explain terminology
  • Using orange for word balloons and thoughts
  • Construction of a background using a perspective ruler

And as always, most of the backgrounds are created via a process of eyeballing and hoping for the best.

The creation of a believable space for the characters to exist in is one of my weak points. That’s why I need to do it more often.
