I love strong contrast of black and white. I can remember falling in love with Frank Miller’s gritty noir crime series Sin City for the way in which he paints light and shadow. Both as a way of describing the world, and in the noir-specific venetian window blinds casting metaphoric lines of imprisonment over the face of every player in that intriguing world. This page takes a little something from that, aiming to show the full impact of the texted words on the character. He is drowning within a pool of darkness, self-generated and inescapable.
