This is one of the first scenes where I’m digging a little deeper into one of the supporting characters. The dialogue is still clunky, and I need to work on having the characters express their beliefs and desires in a naturalistic way. As in, not to say them, but imply through their actions and obliquely through dialogue. It isn’t easy, though.
